Risk Engineer (m/f/d)

You will

• Perform risk evaluation in frames of existing Risk Standards of UNIQA Group, including collecting and analysing data, information and documentation during field inspections on sites
• Define recommendations for improvement of risks based on the performed inspections, as well as monitor the implementation of recommendations by the clients
• Create risk reports after inspections
•  Communicate with Headquarters in Vienna for non-standard and complex risks
• Undertake measures for improvement of the insurance portfolio
•  Cooperate with external experts in regard of risk assessments and inspections, and as well in regard of high value and complex claims
•  Prepare reports for analysis of the portfolio
• Actively contribute to the achievement of the Company's objectives within the scope of competence
• Be independent in work and decision-making in accordance with the general instructions of the direct manager/senior risk engineer and the general guidelines of the Company
• Be responsible for timely and efficient process of business cases, actively support underwriters in terms of risk assessment
• Track, propose, and coordinate improvement of IT systems
• Track legislation and other relevant acts to area of responsibility
• Cooperate and communicate with other responsible departments in process of exchange of information
• Perform other tasks as required by the direct manager/senior risk engineer

You have

• Bachelor ’s degree in technical field (fire safety, mechanical, civil engineering, architecture, chemistry, health and safety, etc.) or economics
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in the same or similar job in insurance
• Advanced organizational and analytical skills
• Advanced knowledge of insurance technique
• Advanced computer skills (MS Office)
• Active knowledge of the English language in speech and writing
• Active driver – category B
