Road carrier's liability insurance is an insurance product intended for legal entities or sole traders with registered office and registration in the Republic of Bulgaria, holding a valid license for international road transport and/or road transport in the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria, in accordance with the effective legislation in the country.

The liability of the road transport carrier for the total or partial loss of and/or damage to cargo as a result of an insured event occurred during road transport performed under a contract of carriage to which the Convention on the contract for the International Carriage of Goods by Road (CMR) or the Road Transport Act of the Republic of Bulgaria applies
Under certain conditions, the insurance coverage may be extendet to include additional coverages, such as cabotage operations within the EU, among others.
