UNIQA employees in the SEE region, which consists of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, Montenegro and Bulgaria, in the first joint initiative to preserve the environment in which they live and work, planted one tree for each of the 1,700 employees in the region and 2,500 additional seedlings for all people in the local community.
UNIQA Bulgaria employees joined the initiative, following their colleagues from the countries in the SEE region, planting 2,100 oak saplings near the village of Telish, Pleven region, as part of a joint initiative with the support of the Gorata BG foundation.
The socially responsible reforestation initiative is inspired by the common values and culture shared by all employees and follows the "UNIQA 3.0 - Seeding the Future" strategy with a focus on investing in the community, sustainable development and promoting environmental protection. At the same time, it symbolizes a successful future, growth and long-term investment in the SEE region, which constitutes the third largest group of companies within UNIQA International.
