„Our logo is blue and our heart green “

In a series of short episodes we will present to you the history of a company, forest, computer, much enthusiasm and love to nature, clean air and better tomorrow.

Episode 3: It’s all about the COMMUNITY

Our adventure reaches a stage in which, thanks to digitalisation, we launch our initiative for „Office without frontiers“ or in other words – you work where you want – next to a tree, on a hammock, on the chaise-longue, on the beach, in the mountain, while fishing, at my granny’s, at home... We skip our travel twice a day to work by car, bus or subway, and help the air become cleaner or not be polluted additionally, and it is nice to work in your pyjamas from your bed, on the background of „Fiends“. 😊 (of course, with sound mute, not to be distracted too much 😊).

We also support the people who love nature and like to spend time in it, because, as Joan Welsh puts it, „You can judge about the health of a person by what he takes two at a time – pills or stair-steps.“ We prefer stairs, the stones in the forest, jumping over fallen trees and climbing peaks. That is why we look for, create and support ideas and activities that will make us sweat in fresh air. Why sweat? A curious fact is that an athlete can evaporate between 2 and 6% of his weight during intensive training, as well as that there is a smaller quantity of toxic metals in the bodies of people who practice sports and sweat regularly.

We prefer detoxicating ourselves by a walk in the mountain, build muscles and lose unwanted kilograms by climbing a peak or the stairs of a cozy hut in the forest. That is why we supported our team in working from the mountain and climbing the seven Rila lakes, and the athletes who talk seriously about sports (we don’t imply that chess is not sports, but it is quite something else to cover the route Kom-Emine in 6 days😊).

Last year we supported RED BULL BIKE THE BALKAN by insuring 50 competitors in the race, and the Bulgarian Triathlon Association, and Bansko Film Fest – an event teaming with many films about extreme sports, mountains and adventures, meeting with some of the most prominent names in extreme sports and alpinism. 

Inspired by the sporting period, some of our colleagues decided to support „Green UNIQA“ by climbing to the Seven Rila lakes and organise their team building there (to reach the Teardrop Lake, you really need to shed a teardrop or more, so it was no fun climbing rocks 😊) – they are quite good.
